Monday, 30 June 2008 through Saturday, 2 August 2008.
Instruction continues through the Fourth of July.
Dancers normally arrive Sunday before the syllabus begins the following Monday.

Ages 10 and up. Dancers should have at least two years experience in classical ballet.
Typically our summer troupe includes a few professional dancers on off season.

We limit the program to 64 dancers. They are divided into 4 separate ability levels. This enables us to keep class size down to 16 per studio. Every dancer, every level, receives instruction from all four faculty members. As Ballet Master, Andrei Bossov will personally know and place every dancer.

Dancers are in the studio by 9:00 AM every morning. There are two classes before
lunch, one class after lunch, and a rehearsal period as last period ending the day
at 4:30 PM. Classes include: Technique, Pointe, Men's Class, Partnering, Classic
Pointe Variations, Character, Acting, Face Make-Up, Pilate, Floor Barre, and Stretch.

Andrei Bossov, Natalya Getman, Vladimir Karpov, Anna Karpova.

$3250 is the total, tuition, room and board.
The above figure represents a tuition cost of $1525 and $1725 for room and board.
We also offer a payment plan for your convenience.

3 full nutritious meals a day and brunch and supper, Saturdays and Sundays. We are extremely proud of our unique, nutrition-oriented food service. We make special provisions to accommodate special dietary needs. Lots of choice offered every meal, including for vegetarians. We are careful to ensure that every dancer eats a healthy diet. We place emphasis on being strong, not thin. Our theory is, a well-balanced nutritious diet and a well-fed dancer who takes our rigorous regimen of classes will, over the long term, develop the best body for dancing.
Dormitories are supervised 24-hours by well-screened employees whom we have known for years. A thorough check of attendance is completed each night before "lights out."
Dormitory Regulations

1. Letter of Application:
Write us a brief letter stating your desire to attend. Include age, address, names of sponsors (Typically mother and father or guardian(s)). Include also at least one phone number and, if available, e-mail address. For dancers who are minors, there should be a signature of a parent or guardian indicating knowledge of and permission for application. The letter itself or an attached enclosure should provide a résumé of your dancing experience to include teachers, approximate weekly frequency of study, and significant performing roles if any.
2. Audition:
Audition can be by video or in person. Keep videos inexpensive and brief. Here is what - in fact all that - Andrei needs to see:
At the barre: plie, tendu, adagio
At the center: adagio, turning combination, jumping combination
Andrei does not need to see you en pointe on the video. He will have you en pointe his way while you are here.
If you come in person, however, definitely bring your pointe shoes so he and Natalya can look at you and give you a few tips to work on between now and summer.
To audition, just take class with us. We teach every afternoon and evening, Monday through Friday, and every Saturday morning. Also you will receive a "cook's tour" of our campus and the surrounding village. Advantage: You will get to know us at the same time that we get to know you. Also we accept dancers without delay as we move along through the sign-up season; so the longer you wait, the more competitive it gets.
3. Letter of Recommendation:
We would like at least one good letter of recommendation from a teacher who is familiar with you. Especially important are comments about your work ethic and good citizenship. Also, your ability to learn, performing potential and stage presence are important. Please ensure that we know how to call the teacher back in case we would like to discuss the dancer by phone.
We advise you to get your Teacher Recommendation and Registration form in to us right away and not to delay your application by waiting for the video. We will be willing to hold a place for any dancer who registers and on whom we receive a strong, positive Teacher Recommendation. We will hold that place pending receipt of the video. Remember, we guarantee return of your deposit in full in the event that we cannot admit.

We pick up dancers arriving at the Bangor, Maine, International airport, free of charge. Dancers are picked up in a van large enough to easily accommodate luggage. Upon pick-up, dancers are transported directly to our dormitory.
