BBT's Don Quixote in September 2002 at Strom Auditorium, Camden, Maine, was a command performance to celebrate internationally acclaimed artist James Wyeth's exhibit, "Capturing Nureyev, James Wyeth Paints the Dancer." The late Russian ballet virtuoso, Rudolph Nureyev as famous for his on-stage portrayal Basilio, the lead-male role in the ballet, and also for choreographing his own version of it. BBT's performance followed the classic choreography of Marius Petipa, accompanied by Ludwig Minkus's musical score.
