| Bolero, original choreography by Andrei Bossov, performed to the classic musical score by Maurice Ravel. Andrei choreographed the piece in 1984 when he was Director of the Kirov Chamber Ballet in St. Petersberg, Russia. Bossov Ballet Theatre has performed this piece repeatedly in the U.S. and it has become a rite of passage for Bossov ballerinas, as being cast in this ballet means they have matured from girl to woman. In Andrei's words the ballet portrays "The Inner World of the Woman." |
