St. Petersburg Academic Ballet School (Vaganova School): 1963-1972. Training usually lasts eight years; most talented artists are accepted for an extra year.

Career in the United States:
Mr. Bossov came to the United States following a 20-year career with the Kirov Ballet. His accomplishments in this country have included twenty-five major productions, the creation of five original ballets, and training and education of over three hundred pre-professional dancers.
He is presently working full time year-round as Artistic Director for Bossov Ballet Theatre and the Bossov Ballet Theatre School and, under the auspices of Bossov Ballet Theatre School, teaches an accredited ballet course in the curriculum of Maine Central Institute, a private high school in Pittsfield, Maine.
